Corn Chowder

For all the soupies out there, ever make some homemade soup? We all know homemade is best, so why not try to make some?

  • 3-Quart Heavy Saucepan


  • 2-10.5 oz Hanover Foods Purple Line Super Sweet Corn
  • 14.5 oz  Hanover Foods Savory Chicken Broth
  • 2 tbsp Margarine
  • 1 cup Onions chopped 
  • ½ cup Celery chopped 
  • cups Potatoes diced 
  • tsp Black Pepper
  • Fresh Parsley
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 2 cups Skim Milk


  • Combine margarine, onions and celery in a 3-quart heavy saucepan; sauté until tender.
  • Add potatoes, chicken broth and seasonings. Simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Add sweet corn and cook an additional 3 minutes. Combine flour with milk and stir until smooth.
  • Add mixture to vegetables and heat until chowder thickens, stirring frequently.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!|
